RB/1000U RouterBOARD 1000

This MikroTik  RB 1000  Appliance is presented in a rackmount form factor with its own integrated power supply where one can deploy and one of these routerboards inside 1 U of Rack space. The RB1000 is as the name suggests powered by the ultra fast MikroTik RouterBOARD RB 1000, which is the flagship router that truly is the jewel in the crown of the MikroTik power routerBOARD range. It has been released after a number of years of development coupled with over a year of  testing. This MikroTik RB1000 simply outperforms every other router in its class, you cannot get a better router in-terms of packet performance per price. Powered by the  ultra  efficient Freescale PPC8547 1333MHz processor  with an integrated Power QUICC III Communications Processor Module which delivers high speed low latency packet forwarding due to the hardware acceleration of network functions such as IP/ Ethernet packet fowarding and even IPSec Acceleration . This raw power is harnessed beautifully  by the RouterOS v3 network operating system which allows  this router can take on just about any CPU intensive Network appliance role needed on your network. With the bundled Router OS level 6 Licence, this router will perform more tasks concurrently than any other hardware that has been manufactured by MikroTik.

The heart of this device is a new state of the art PowerPC networking processor which makes the RB1000 faster than any other MikroTik product. MikroTik tests have shown that it can deliver a network throughput up to 400,000pps with 64 byte packets & 3.2Gbps^-1 aggregate throughput with 1500 byte packets.

• Memory and Storage Devices

Onboard Memory - The boards are equipped with a SODIMM DDR Slot, 512MB DDR RAM is installed on the base model.

Onboard NAND Storage Device - The boards are equipped with one 64MB NAND nonvolatile storage chip.

• Input / Output Ports

Four LAN Ports without PoE - These Gigabit Ethernet ports are recognized as 4 independent  LAN interfaces:eth1 to eth4 . The ports do not support Power over Ethernet. All cables made to EIA/TIA 568A/B cable specifications will work correctly (see Connector Index for pinout). Note that these ports support automatic cross/straight cable correction (Auto MDI/X), so you can use either straight or cross-over cables for connecting to other network devices.

•  LEDs

Power LED - Power LED is on when the board is powered.

User LED - User LED may be programmed at user's option. It is lit by default when the board starts up, then it is turned off when the boot loader runs kernel.

•  Form Factor

The Router Board RB 1000U is packaged in a sleek 1U 19" rack mounted aluminium case.
