The NS2 packs dual 10dbi antennas, a 400mW card with amazing receive sensitivity and a 4MB flash/16MB of RAM which can be used to install alternative firmware like DD-WRT or OpenWRT. The Included POE and zip tie mounting system is simple and efficient. If the built-in antennas don't give you enough juice, you can add an external adapter by using a RP-SMA pigtail.
Even if you're just connecting up a desktop computer to your wireless network, a Nanostation2 may be the easiest and best performing option. Not only can you move your NS2 to a better location than an internal card, but there's no need to fight with wireless drivers. Have problems with internal walls? The Nanostation will give you strong signal with its high power card and antenna.
